Screening calls and interviews
First calls with the AI screener, interview rounds and feedback. Part of Masthead Hire.
- What is an AI screening call?A first-round voice call of about 15 minutes with Aria, Masthead's AI screener, who introduces herself as your company's screener.
- How do I set the screening questions? On the role's page, open AI screening. Add your own questions, each with what a good answer shows and how long it may take, or have Masthead draft them from the job description and keep the ones you like.
- How do I send a screening call?On the candidate's application, click Send AI screening, then Send invite. They get an email with their own link, which works for 72 hours.
- How many screening calls do we get?Hire includes 50 a month. A call counts when it's sent. One you cancel, or that the candidate never starts before the link expires, is given back.
- How do I read a screening result? On the application, the screening shows a score out of 100 and a suggestion: Advance, Hold or Reject.
- What is the Results page?Hiring → Results lists every screening call and recorded interview, filtered by type, status, role and date.
- How do I schedule an interview? On the application, click Schedule interview.
- Where do interviewers see their interviews? In Hiring → Interviews: upcoming interviews with the candidate's CV, and for video rounds a join button that opens ten minutes before the start.
- How do interviewers give feedback?Click Submit feedback on the interview, right after the round.
- What is My coaching?Feedback on your own interviewing, from your recorded video interviews: how much you talked, the quality of your questions, how well you listened, and how much of the role you covered.
- What is Interview quality? In Settings → Interview quality, admins see recorded interviews flagged for possible bias, how each interviewer's analysed interviews went over the last 90 days, and which competencies each role's interviews actually covered.
