Candidates and the pipeline
Following every candidate from application to joining. Part of Masthead Hire.
- What does the Hiring overview show? For the last 30 days, 90 days or six months: candidates in the pipeline, new ones this week, conversion, offers sent and accepted, and spend.
- How does the pipeline work?Every application moves through the same stages: Application Received, Resume Screen, Recruiter Call, Interviews, Reference Check, Final Approval, Offer Extended and Pre-Joining.
- How do I move a candidate on, or turn them down?Open their application. Under Actions: Move to next stage, with the choice to email them about it. Send AI screening, Schedule interview or Send to references.
- How do I add a candidate myself?Click Add candidate on the Pipeline or Candidates page.
- Does Masthead read CVs?Yes. When someone applies through your careers page, Masthead reads their CV in the background.
- Where do I find a candidate?Hiring → Candidates lists everyone, active, rejected or withdrawn.
- How do we keep notes on a candidate? On their application, under Notes, add a recruiter note or a hiring manager note. The two kinds are kept apart on the page.
- How do reference checks work?On the application, click Request reference and give the referee's details.
- What do candidates see?Their own page, from the link in their emails: where their application has got to, documents you ask for, and later their offer and joining details.
- Can someone outside HR run hiring?Yes. On their record, switch on Recruiter access: they can then work on every role and candidate.
- Can a recruitment agency send us candidates?Yes. In Settings → External recruiters, invite the agency and assign the roles they should work on.
