Email domain and chat alerts
Emails from your own domain, and alerts in Slack, Teams or Google Chat. Add-ons for any plan.
- Can our emails come from our own domain?Yes, with the own email domain add-on. Your company's emails to candidates and to your people then come from an address on your own domain, such as hr@mail.yourcompany.com, instead of 1936 AI's, once its DNS records are checked.
- How do I set up our own email domain?Open Settings → Company → Email sending (admins, leadership and HR). Under Domain, type the domain to send from.
- What if our email domain stops working?Your emails go back to 1936 AI's address at once, and nothing stops being sent.
- Can Masthead post alerts in Slack, Teams or Google Chat?Yes, with the chat alerts add-on. Masthead posts to the channels you choose in Slack, Microsoft Teams or Google Chat when something happens, and each message links back to the page in Masthead.
- How do I add a chat channel? In the chat app, make an incoming webhook for the channel and copy its address: Slack: add the Incoming Webhooks app to the channel and copy its webhook URL.
- How do I change, pause or remove a chat channel? On the channel's card in Settings → Company → Chat alerts: Edit changes its name, its alerts or its address (paste a new one under New webhook address, or leave it empty to keep the one saved).
