Sending to Galley
Keeping your Galley data room up to date with your accounts, bank statements, loans and filings. Part of Margin Books.
- What does Margin send to Galley? When your company also uses Galley Dataroom, Margin can keep your data room up to date with what investors and lenders ask about your money.
- How do I switch on sending to Galley? An owner or admin of your company opens your 1936 AI account on 1936ai.com. In the Connections box, next to Margin to Galley, they click Switch on.
- When does Margin send each document? When you lock a month on Books → Close: that month's accounts go at once, with cash and runway and anything else that changed.
- Why does a document wait in Galley? The first time Margin sends each document, Galley keeps it in its Inbox, marked "From Margin", until someone on your team files it in the data room (or deletes it).
- What do the lines in Settings → Galley mean?Settings → Galley shows anyone who can see the books whether the connection is on, and each document Margin sends with what happened to it last time: On: "Switched on by" whoever switched it on, and when.
- Why does a document say "Not sent yet"?Margin sends a document once there's something in it. Until then, Settings → Galley says why: Debt schedule: there are no active loans in Margin.
- Does anyone's pay go to Galley? No payslip, and no one person's pay. Payroll reaches Galley as totals: salaries, PF and ESI are in the monthly accounts as the company's totals, as your books hold them, and money owed is shown by age without names.
- What is the GST and TDS returns record? An Excel file Margin sends to Galley, the record a lender's or investor's diligence asks for: every GST and TDS return due in the last 12 months, when it was filed, and whether on time.
- Can I download the monthly accounts myself?Yes. On Books → Statements, a button such as Download October 2026 (Excel) gives the same workbook Galley gets, for the month of the date shown, locked or not, and for the company chosen at the top.
