What's in the certificate's Excel file?

The certificate itself, ready to print and sign, and the workings behind it, on two sheets:

  • Certificate: your company, the lender and the loan, the date it's tested at, and who approved it in Margin and when. Then each covenant, how often it's tested, its period, threshold, figure, headroom and status, with any note. Under them: what Close means for this loan, a line saying the DSCR is on profit before tax (when there is one), "We certify that the figures above are taken from the books of account of" your company "for the periods shown", and lines for your signatory's signature, name, designation and the date.
  • Workings: for each covenant, how it was worked out and every account and amount behind it, for your CA or the lender.

A draft says "Draft: not yet approved in Margin. Only an approved one is sent to the lender." under the title, and "DRAFT: NOT APPROVED" at the top of every printed page.
