How does the P&L work?

Reports → P&L shows revenue, then costs in layers: direct delivery cost (CM1), customer acquisition (CM2), company fixed costs (CM3), shared overheads, EBITDA, interest, depreciation and net profit, by month, quarter or year. Layer settings decide which layer each department's salaries and each cost head belong to. Bills count before GST; salaries at their cost to the company.

The invoices you raise in Margin don't show as revenue here. For a profit and loss that includes them, open Statements, which reads your ledger.
