Can I just ask a question about my people?
Yes. Ask HR, at the top of Today, takes a plain-English question and answers from Masthead's own records. Admins, HR and leadership can ask about the whole company ("Who hasn't taken leave in 6 months?", "Who was late more than 3 times this month?", "Who's on leave next week?", "Show attrition by department this year", "Which roles have the most applications?", "Who's due a review?"); a manager asks about their own reporting line; everyone else asks about themselves ("How many leaves do I have left?", "When is the next holiday?", "Was I late this month?") and about the company's policies ("What's the leave policy?").
Every figure is worked out by Masthead from the records, never guessed, and comes with where it came from and next steps you can click. A late arrival is a punch-in after the person's shift start plus the minutes allowed. Ask HR never gives pay, bank or ID details, contact details, health or family details, or a candidate's name, and it never rates one person's likelihood of leaving: people signals are shown by team. When a question is unclear it asks one short question back; when the records can't answer, it says so. A company has 200 questions a day. Under every answer, Was this right? lets you report a wrong one, which we review every week.
