What are cost heads, and do I need them?

Yes: every expense is booked to one. A cost head is what the money was spent on, such as raw materials, rent or software, under a category. Add yours in Settings → Cost heads: a name, a short code, its category and company, and if you like a default GST rate, TDS section and Tally ledger.
