Galley Dataroom · Every feature

Everything in the room.

Everything on this page works in Galley today. Where something needs the Pro plan or an add-on, it says so.

Rooms and files

Folders, files and versions, laid out the way investors expect.

  • Upload a file or folder

Upload one file at a time, or a whole folder of up to 200 files with its sub-folders kept.

  • Read in the browser

PDF, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Markdown, JPG, PNG and video open in Galley's viewer, up to 50 MB a file and 200 MB a video.

  • Fundraising template

In an empty room, Use fundraising template makes the usual diligence folders, from Company Overview and Financials to Legal, Tax and Compliance.

  • Folders in your order

Drag folders into the order investors see, with index numbers like 1 and 1.2 if you choose to show them.

  • Versions

A new version keeps the document's name and access, and investors see your note and the pages whose words changed.

  • Due-diligence checklist

The 34 items investors usually ask for in a seed or Series A round, in 8 sections, with the documents that cover each one.

  • File requests

Send your accountant or lawyer an upload link, with no account needed; their files come to your team first.

Access

Who gets in, and exactly what each investor can open.

  • Invite by email

Paste up to 100 email addresses at once; anyone who hasn't joined is reminded after 3 and 7 days.

  • No account for investors

Investors sign in with a six-digit code sent to their email, and one sign-in reaches every Galley room they're in.

  • Folders or single documents

Give each investor folders or single documents, view only or view and download, and new files in a folder reach everyone who has it.

  • Groups

Give several investors the same access in one place, such as your Series A leads.

  • Access overview

A grid of investors and folders where every change saves at once, and a folder can change for everyone listed in one go.

  • Access end dates

Access ends at the end of the day you choose, India time, and a later date gives it all back as it was.

  • Revoke straight away

Revoke signs an investor out and stops them signing in at once; to pause someone instead, set an end date.

Protection and privacy

An NDA first, a name on every page, and care with what leaves the room.

  • NDA before anything opens

Nothing opens until an investor accepts your NDA, and Galley keeps a dated record of who accepted which version.

  • A standard NDA to start

Your first NDA starts from Galley's standard one with your company's name in it, for your lawyer to read before you publish.

  • A watermark on every page

Every page an investor views carries their name, email, and the date and time, and it can't be switched off.

  • Watermarked PDF downloads

Downloaded PDFs carry the watermark too; other files download as the original, so give View only to keep them in the viewer.

  • Screenshot deterrence

Once an Owner switches it on, view-only documents are covered when the investor's window isn't active, and printing is blocked.

  • Internet addresses for Owners

Only Owners see investors' internet addresses; Members see an approximate place and device.

  • AI only when used

Text goes to Claude, by Anthropic, only when someone uses an AI feature, and Owners can turn reply drafts, briefs and instant answers off.

  • Page-by-page reading

Time on each page, how far each investor got and who read to the end, counted only while the reader is active.

  • Questions in the room

Investors ask about a document or the room in general, and only your team sees the question.

  • Replies stay in Galley

The investor gets an email that a reply is waiting, and reads the reply inside the data room.

  • Answer once for everyone

Share with investors turns a reply into an answer for every investor who can open that document, without the asker's name.

  • First drafts of replies

  • Import a spreadsheet

Bring in up to 2,000 rows, with a preview first and nothing already there overwritten.

  • Round progress

Set a target as you say it, like 25 crore or $3M, and add each ticket as signed, soft commit or indicated.

  • Access by stage

Choose the folders each stage opens, and moving an investor on gives them those folders and an email saying so.

  • Deck links

A tracked link to one document for a fund you're pitching, read view only with the reader's email on every page.

  • Calls

Offer times you're free, and when an investor books one you both get a calendar invite.
